Children's challenges are often complex and interconnected. Providing a safe place to stay is only the beginning.
At CPSM, we take a holistic approach that supports every aspect of a child's wellbeing - helping them heal from adversity, build resilience, develop confidence, and unlock their full potential. A Home for Children in Need
Since 1991, the CPSM Shelter in Penang has provided a safe and nurturing environment for children affected by neglect, abuse, abandonment, and other difficult circumstances. Beyond meeting immediate needs, we support each child's emotional wellbeing, education, personal development, and long-term future.
Every child receives individualised care and support, with pathways that may include family reintegration, continued residential care, educational assistance, or preparation for independent living. Many remain under CPSM's care through their schooling years and beyond, receiving guidance as they transition into adulthood.
Today, from our home at 258, Jalan Air Itam, George Town, Penang, we continue to provide safety, stability, and hope for vulnerable children in our community.
Our Outreach Programmes
Education, Awareness & Prevention
CPSM-KL focuses on raising awareness and promoting child protection through school and community programmes. Our outreach initiatives educate children, parents and educators on topics such as personal safety, bullying prevention and online risks.
We often collaborate with government agencies and other NGOs to strengthen community support and advocacy for every child's wellbeing.
